Aubrey Dan

Aubrey Dan is one of Canada’s highly recognized entrepreneurs & businessmen; he is the Founder and President of Dancap Private Equity Inc. and an active philanthropist.

 

Mr. Dan graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a degree in Administrative and Commercial studies in 1985. In 2002, Dan founded Dancap Private Equity, a family Investment office firm that invests its own funds into private equity, private debt, infrastructure, commodities and hedge funds, as well as traditional assets, including public equities, fixed income and real estate. www.dancap.ca.


He holds an honorary Doctorate of Laws Degree from Assumption University which he received in 2008.


He is well known for his previous involvement in producing & presenting live entertainment theatre to Toronto through his involvement with Dancap Productions Inc. for which he was nominated and received a Tony Award (Memphis).



Dan is a very generous philanthropist, donating millions of dollars, primarily to health and education charities, and other worthy causes organizations that include: Sunnybrook Foundation for their women and babies program, now called the Aubrey & Marla Dan Program for High Risk Mothers & Babies; University of Western Ontario's Social Science department resulting in the Department being named the Dan Management and Organizational Studies.


For many year he has been an active member of the World President's Association (WPO) Ontario Chapter and the Institute of Private Investors (IPI).
