Our Executive Team

Brian D. King, CII

Chief Executive Officer

With four decades of experience, Mr. King and his executive team has developed comprehensive strategies for dealing with delicate issues relating to Fraud and White Collar Crime, as well as Human Resources and Workplace Harassment Compliance issues. He has worked closely with local and international law firms, regulatory bodies and government organizations on problem solving and compliance related issues.


In the early 2000’s, Brian chaired the Privacy Committee for the Canadian Council of Private Investigators and was instrumental in lobbying the federal government to obtain the “Investigative Body Status” Regulation for Investigators and Insurance Adjusters throughout Canada. Through this process and his embracing of the new statute at the time, he became known as an industry expert on PIPEDA and often provides oversight to industry leaders on Privacy related and other Regulatory issues.



Jeremy H. King, CII

Executive Vice President

A certified international investigator, Jeremy currently oversees the surveillance and cyber intelligence divisions at KIAG and is responsible for the agency’s international development, which include partner relationships in over 56 countries worldwide.


Mr. King has acted as a trusted investigative advisor to many of Canada’s foremost litigators, private corporations, and public entities. He is highly active in investigations of serious nature requiring extreme discretion and professionalism.


Most recently, Mr. King was retained in a class action lawsuit to develop the investigative affidavit evidence in support of a motion to freeze the assets tied to cryptocurrency crowdfunding – this led to Canada’s first known Mareva Injunction targeting cryptocurrency. His affidavit focused on online evidence in support of the crowdfunding efforts and violations of court orders. Through OSINT investigations, the targets of the Mareva injunction were identified and evidence was gathered on the additional crypto custodians.


Dillon R. King, CPIO-SI

Director, Investigations

As Director of Investigations at KIAG, Dillon oversees our Special Investigations and Corporate Intelligence divisions. A designated Senior Investigator by the Council of Professional Investigators Ontario, Mr. King is intimately involved in every aspect of our clients' complex matters.


Dillon has provided expert evidence on numerous litigation cases for KIAG’s legal, regulatory and insurance related clients, and has provided trial support in both criminal and civil ligation matters.


Dillon completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph, focusing his studies in Criminal Justice and Public Policy, following which he obtained his Private Investigator’s License, which he has held since 2010. He is an active leader and provides mentorship and investigative support to our Senior Intelligence Analysts and Investigative Consultant staff members.

Aubrey Dan

Mr. Dan is one of Canada’s most  recognized entrepreneurs & businessmen; he is the Founder and President of Dancap Private Equity Inc. and an active philanthropist.

Norman Groot

Mr. Groot is one of Canada’s top legal experts on Privacy and Canada’s federal legislation PIPEDA. He represented several industry associations in the successful implementation of PIPEDA.

James Lockyer

Mr. Lockyer is a founding director of Innocence Canada (formerly the Association in Defence of the Wrongly Convicted (AIDWYC)), a Canada-wide organization that advocates for the wrongly convicted.

Open positions


  • Surveillance Investigator

    Our agency has immediate need for senior private investigators who are experienced in handling surveillance operations. We currently have openings across the province of Ontario. 


    The assignments we handle are inherently complex in nature and require a diligent investigative approach, including extremely detailed reporting.


    Working within the surveillance unit, the successful candidate will be responsible for continually managing a case load of approximately 3-6 assignments from beginning to completion. Experience with scheduling and a meticulous organizational mindset is important.


    Our investigators have proven experience implementing successful locate strategies, ensuring client resources are utilized to their fullest value.


    Our investigators ensure all subject activity is captured discreetly, abiding by all local laws and regulations. Investigators must be familiar with the Trespass to Property Act.


    Our investigators are routinely called upon to testify to their evidence in court and tribunal settings. Expert reporting and note taking abilities are a must for any successful candidate.

  • Research Analyst

    Knowledge & Skills

    • Candidates should have an above-average understanding of the business world and the Canadian legal-system and corresponding nomenclature
    • Familiarity of other countries, including their customs and cultures, is beneficial

    Professional Experience


    • Experience navigating public records, including the following databases: Corporate Filings, Legal Documents (including Civil Litigation), Tax Liens and Bankruptcy Filings, Property Ownership Records, and Consumer Credit Reports
    • Minimum 2-4 years’ experience conducting investigative research
    • Bachelor’s degree or other post-secondary schooling in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or similar type program a benefit

  • Fraud Investigator

    King International Advisory Group, Canada’s leading fraud investigation agency, is looking for dedicated and experienced full-time inquiry field investigators in the GTA to join our team of experts.


    Successful candidates have the opportunity to work with Canada’s top financial institutions and corporate clients, as well as some of the most renowned Canadian litigators.


    The assignments we handle are inherently complex in nature and require a diligent investigative approach, including extremely detailed reporting.


    Emphasis will be given to investigators with agency experience and fraud training background. Previous experience as an insurance claims adjuster or police services fraud investigator beneficial.


    Position involves conducting in-person and video-recorded interviews and taking detailed written and recorded statements.


    Position is not 9-5 and does involve some evenings and weekends depending on nature of the investigation.


    Current valid Ministry Private Investigator license required.


    Remuneration negotiable based on experience. Travel mileage paid.
